I think instead of having one Skin, why not have optional Forum Skins to give the forum more customization.

I like the idea of allowing members to choose the skin they want.
I definitely want to see a Raichu theme.
Other ideas:
--Rayquaza
--Deoxys
--Starter Pokemon (from the different regions)
I've got a new forum skin called Ash's Longing! I've set it to default and forced it on everybody, so you shouldn't have to switch to it manually. See, I've adopted a sort of "tradition" from sites like PC and BMGf, where every time a new skin is released, its set to default and forced onto everyone until a new skin comes out; when there aren't any new skins to be had and one is due, the default skin gets defaulted.
BTW, when I say forced, I mean everybody gets switched to it by pressing a button in the Admin CP, i.e. you can switch back to your favorite afterward ;)
EDIT: I don't think I'm gonna be able to add in a Quick Style Chooser, but you'll have the ability to change your skin in your User CP regardless, so don't fret. :)

Hmm well I think we should have a different skin for each color, with a different banner of course.
So example;
Black with a shiny Rayquaza.
And different themes for different holidays. Such as Christmas.~ ^ 0 ^
