Favorite main series game?
#1
Star
Well, like the sign says, [s]start withering![/s] What's your favorite main series Pokémon game? This does not include spin-off games such as PMD, Pokémon Ranger, Pokémon Snap, etc.

For me, it would be Pokémon Emerald, as I just love the cloning glitch. XD

I'd say Pokemon R/S/E was well. c:
Especially Emerald, it was my first game I got for the Gameboy.
It's honestly one of the best games and most nostalgic games ever.
I also really like Pokemon B/W. I don't care what people say, it's honestly a great game.
I mean sure, they did put a few dorky looking Pokemon.xD But I mean, even in other games we don't like certain Pokemon. It's normal.
Like Shuckle. URGH!! > _ <
Also Pokemon G/S/C/HG/SS were also great. When I was a kid I wasn't much of a fan of Johto. And I was too poor to get Gameboys and stuff at the time, so i never played the games. xD
So one day my friend gives me his Pokemon Crystal game (I think it was when I was in sec 1 or 2?).
Put I never played it until I got Pokemon Soul Silver. It was such a nice experience.
So I said to myself to give Pokemon Crystal a try. I didn't like it at first because it gave me headaches.
But later on I started being addicted to CreepyPasta's, and then I loved my old Pokemon Crystal.~xD
Also they have better moves available in shops. ._.
Okay...
I'm done. DERP.

Favorite game that's a tough one. . . I guess first on my list would be Emerald
mainly because my favorite legendary Rayquaza plays a big part in the story and pretty much the whole game is amazing.
My second favorite would be Yellow version only because it had Pikachu following u around every where u went
I found it pretty funny how pikachu would react to some of things u did.
My third would be Crystal only because one can get both Lugia and Ho-oh in the game.
And finally B/W, new pokemon, better graphics and when comparing them to the old games
it makes me realize how much tech have changed

My favorite main series games are-

Pogeymanz R/S/E: My first main series game being Ruby, I started out w/ Torchic (I just wanna imitate May's starter choice) and I seem to have numerous n00b moments such as killing Groudon and save, catching Absol w/ a Master Ball, not knowing about the Regis and Rayquaza, believing the Deoxys rumor and Mirage Island.XP But I still had fond moments w/ that game until I was stupid enough to erase it and then give it to my brother for his Emerald just so I can clone Pokemon. All in all, I love the pacing of the games but it's easy esp. if you own R/S yet level-grinding is DIFFICULT!

Pokemon FR/LG: Having to never play the orignal R/B games, I settled for the remakes and I chose LeafGreen since Green is my favorite color.Tongue I chose my childhood favorite, the fire cutie CHARMANDUH but I struggled alot against the first two gyms esp. Misty...I had a grudge on her hax Starmie...>_> The game is really enjoyable and my favorite feature is the VS Seeker, now it makes level-grinding less painful...;U; I really like the Pokemon sprites and the music esp. the revamped G/S songs whenever you go to places like Sevault Canyon.Big Grin

Pokemon D/P/Plt: I liked Pokemon Platinum more than D/P since not only did I had a really good team but it has so much features such as facing w/ gym leaders and getting FIRE POGEYMANZ!x_x The games in general are a mass improvement in terms of trading but the things I don't really like are the Super Contests and Poke Radar.D8< Srsly, I know there's supposed to be 3 judges as seen in the anime but why compete w/ 3 other peeps?>A<

Pokemon HG/SS: OMG...so in love w/ that game.>///< It had almost everything that a Pokemon fan can dream of, revisiting Johto and Kanto, having Pokemon to follow you, music's been improved and not to mention injecting the nostalgia w/ the GB Player.>w< I had a really great team full of strong Pogeymanz and facing w/ Red was the most epic match! It's too bad i didn't get to spend my time playing w/ it longer as I heard about B/W....Sad but oh well at least I caught a Shiny Pidgey right b4 getting my first badge.Big Grin

Pokemon B/W: Really impressive game, I'm glad it got the highest score in Japan, and it's really fun battling w/ favorites.<3 Yeah there's so much haters when it comes to G5 but they need to deal wif it unless they may want a one-on-one chat w/ my Samurott.>Big Grin but anyways, N was proven to be an interesting character and he was fun to battle with.Smile I may have a few mishaps during gameplay but it's fine.Tongue

Yeah I never got why people hated generation 5 so much. It was a pleasure to be a part of.~
The only main thing I hate about it, is that they took off some (good) TM's. Like Dark Pulse and Iron Tail!DDD:<<<
Especially Dark Pulse, I REALLY needed that.> . >
Also, I would have liked to battle my opposite (Black/White).:c Like in R/S/E.8D
But they removed that in a lot of games, so it's not only in the B/W series.> . >
What I liked most about this game was the fact it was in a new region with new Pokemon. Makes you feel as if Pokemon will live forever. c: (Which will.>;D)
I think the main reason why so many people started hating on it was because of the following;
~There were new Pokemon. And some didn't appeal to them, so they said Generation 5 was the worst. Pshh please people. In EVERY generation there will ALWAYS be a ugly/weak/douchy Pokemon.> . > Example, Shuckle. That was in Generation 2. Yet people still loved that generation.
~There seems to be a number of people who know N-O-T-H-I-N-G about Pokemon, but still claim to like it. You'll notice a lot of youngster's go around labelling themselves and saying that Pokemon is 'hip'. ._. But they only know about the original series (mainly just Pikachu). So they'll always say that all the other series suck. > . > I'm serious.xD There were a lot of them in my old school. Actually most of them used to bully me A LOT in elementary because I loved it. Now because of all these new labels, it's considered hot to be a 'nerd', or you're 'cool' if you like Pokemon, etc.
It's pathetic. It gives us REAL Pokemon fans bad names.
Sorry about my ranting, but doesn't anyone else see that?D:
~I think also it has to do with the story plot why a lot of people didn't like it.... I liked it actually. Very different and unique.
Anyway, enough of this negativity, POKEMON B/W WAS AMAZING, AND SO WAS EVERY OTHER GAME!!~
Oh and here's a topic.;3
When Pokemon Grey comes out, do you think they'll make a new legendary for that game?:
Yes and no.
No because we've seen a new trailer for a new Pokemon movie already, so this can be hinting for the new Pokemon game. Also, Ice would be another element. Like Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. c: Ice, fire, lightning.
And not to mention, they brought back the whole '2 gym leader's travelling with Ash'. Like in the original series. So those 2 statements were from the first season, so you know where this is head.;D
But also yes. Because you notice when you play the game, you learn about the history of the 2 main legendaries?
They said that they were once ONE, but they separated creating Reshiram and Zekrom. If they were whole again, it'd probably be grey.
So maybe in the new game (when it comes out) it can be how Reshiram and Zekrom merge once more.~ c:
It would be pretty cool, but it's just a theory.~
Also in the Pokedex for Kyurem (in the game anyway's), it mostly just says how it used to scare people in villages etc. It was nothing like it may have been a part of Zekrom and Reshiram, or battle them, or help balance Unova like they do, etc.

There were only three problems I had B/W
1) the new pokemon musicals, I absolutely hated this I would have preferred if
they kept the pokemon contest instead.
2) the length of the game, I thought that the game was pretty short
3) and something I don't like about all pokemon games the fact that you need the two different versions to complete the pokedex

Otherwise I thought it was actually a good game.

When Pokemon Grey comes out, do you think they'll make a new legendary for that game?:

They will probably do what they did with Emerald and Platinum versions
use one of the lengendary type pokemon already in the game rather than make a new legendary.

Emerald is always going to be my favourite main series game.
Level 100 Aggrons and all that stuff. Have over 200 pokedex entries.
Gonna get leafgreen to get even more Big Grin.

Might even gameshark leafgreen to get mew and deoxys and the like.

When Pokemon Grey comes out, do you think they'll make a new legendary for that game?:
I see them maybe making a stronger version of Kyurem, but definately not an entirely new legendary.

You know what else I loved about me Emerald game?
I COULD TRADE WITH MYSELF WITH MY POKEMON COLISEUM GAME.8D
Oh jeez.xD
I liked it through Pokemon Coliseum because if I restarted the game I could still trade and train. o 3 o
(It rhymed.xD)
Urgh you have NO idea how much I want Game Shark.; 0 ; I was too young when Nintendo Events were open, I had no idea they existed. u . u I don't want to cheat or anything, I just want to get lvl 1 Pokemon's of my choice so I can train them. AND ALL THE TM'S x99. o - e
But I have Action Replay for my DS. But I'd prefer Game Shark so I can have it not only for a portable Game Boy, but so I can see them 3D on my TV.8D
Oh god, my dreams will never happen.; 0 ;
I tried to find Game Shark online, but I could only find used ones on ebay....
